The biggest species of centipede was first discovered by Colombian researchers in Venezuela, it reaches a lenght of 24 centimeters but can sometimes reach bigger sizes than 30cm, for this they're known vulgarly as Giant centipede or Amazonian giant centipede but their scientific name is the fitting Scolopendra gigantea. They're carnivores that feast on insects, tarantulas, and small mammals and lizards, in spite of their big appearance they're not actually lethal to human beings, only having one death documented. Their venom is painful anyway.
